The 2008 Hologic commemorative calendar is the ninth in a series of commissioned works using images captured on a Hologic Selenia mammography system. Selenia completely eliminates the use of light in making a digital x-ray. The result is an image of exquisite clarity and quality and a product that is the industry leader in many markets of the world.

Using the Selenia system as a camera, Hologic associates Bill Glauner and Dr. Kelly Golden captured the delicate beauty and symmetry of the internal structure of wildflowers. The resulting composition takes on a beautiful translucent life – giving us a whole new way of seeing.
