MD Buyline, a U.S. hospital analysis and reporting organization, gave Hologic mammography and bone densitometry products a superior rating on 13 of 14 measures of product performance and reliability missing out on a perfect score by one tenth of a point.

Hologic was ranked highest in the overall vendor category in both the mammography and bone densitometry product categories. MDB members reported that Hologic products outsell competitive products often by a considerable margin even though the Hologic products frequently command a higher price.
