Hologic Hosts Investor Reception at RSNA 2009

BEDFORD, Mass., (October 20, 2009) - Hologic, Inc. (Hologic or the Company) (NASDAQ:
HOLX), a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of premium diagnostics, medical
imaging systems and surgical products dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of women,
today announced the Company will host a meeting for members of the investment community at
the RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) trade show in Chicago, IL. RSNA is the
world's largest medical meeting with over 60,000 radiologists, technologists, administrators and
