IRIS Enterprise Connectivity Suite* provides the gateway for true paperless densitometry by providing a data management solution for facilities wishing to share data between scanners at different locations. This feature imbeds raw data files into the DICOM files, allowing for data storage on the customer's PACS, eliminating the need of archiving to a removable media.

DICOM Modality Worklist downloads demographic and exam specific information from the Hospital Information System (HIS) directly to the scanner, streamlining workflow and eliminating data entry errors and costs. BMD and Instant Vertebral Assessment (IVA) DICOM files are sent directly to the Hologic Physicians Viewer, and if available, PACS storage for viewing and archiving. After softcopy review, an electronic report is generated through the Physicians Report Writer DX and sent via HL7 text message to the HIS/RIS and EMR.

DB SYNC the new automatic database synchronizer is a standalone application enabling the databases of two or more QDR scanners to be merged into one master database which is available to all scanners. By combining IRIS Enterprise and DB SYNC, returning patients may be scanned on any available scanner improving workflow and optimizing productivity.
