Course Syllabus

Attendees will receive service and preventive maintenance training for the ATEC® Pearl, ATEC Sapphire, and ATEC Emerald console units, as well as the ATEC stereotactic adapter. Class size will be limited to ensure that attendees receive adequate hands-on training and education with the equipment. All meals are provided by Hologic. All travel expenses and lodging costs are the responsibility of attendees. The ATEC Biomedical Training Course is two-days. The course starts promptly at 8:00 am each day, and ends at 4:30 pm. Please do not make airline reservations prior to 5:00 pm on the last day of the course.

Course Description:

ATEC (Automatic Tissue Excision and Collection) Breast Biopsy System - (2 days).
The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge and techniques required to complete troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on the systems capital equipment. Equipment includes the stereotactic adapters as well as the Pearl, Sapphire and Emerald console. Students will be taught system specifications and theory of operation to understand maintenance requirements for all system components. The primary emphasis of the course is preventive maintenance and the adjustment of the systems console with a combination of hands on work and lecture. Service manuals, access keys and required testing adapters are provided to the students at the time of course attendance. Upon satisfactory course completion the student will receive an accomplishment certificate and one preventive maintenance kit for an ATEC system located at their facility. The student will then be approved to purchase parts and preventive maintenance kits in the future.

Cost:

$3500, including all meals, manuals, keys, as well as one PM kit for an ATEC system located at the facility. All travel expenses and lodging costs are the responsibility of the attendees.
