Course Syllabus

The M5000 System Service Course, which also includes instruction pertaining to the DMax, DX and LS systems, is four and one-half days, Monday through Friday. The courses start promptly at 8:30 a.m. each day, and ends at 4:30 p.m. On Friday, the course will finish at approximately 11:30 a.m. Please do not make airline reservations prior to approximately 2-3 p.m. on the last day of the course.

Bring a laptop computer if you have one available. The Training CD that is given out during the course (in addition to the hardcopy Training Guide) has additional information that will complete your training experience.

Course Description

This ImageChecker course will cover a detailed system description including important v5.X software directories and files for the DM Processing Unit (PU); PU-to-Display Unit (DU) alerts, interlocks and file transfer messaging; operations; DM, CMU and Mammolux installation, configuration and operations; Canon Scanner calibration of electrical, optical and mechanical subsystems; and routine preventive maintenance procedures on the entire system.
Additionally, detailed overviews of software v8.X Dmax, DX and LS systems are discussed. Also covered are the new system installations, configurations and operations. Servicing of the two new scanners is also explored along with thorough coverage of the routine preventive maintenance procedures on the new systems.

Course Prerequisites

Experience with networking and computer controlled electro-mechanical technology is required.
