Hologic offers a technical training course for biomedical service personnel on the Discovery™, Explorer™, Delphi™, and QDR® 4500 bone densitometer systems.

Course Description:

The goal of the course is to prepare biomedical service personnel to maintain and repair the QDR instrument. The training is five (5) days in length and is conducted at our corporate headquarters in Bedford, Massachusetts, USA. The course provides comprehensive instruction in location and function of system components, hardware and software installation, system calibration, problem isolation, and system operation. All course materials are included. Class size is limited to enhance the learning experience. Approximately one-half of the training is hands-on.

Course Prerequisites:

Course attendees must have a basic knowledge of electronics, mechanical aptitude, a strong understanding of PCs. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Prior experience servicing medical instruments and/or computers is helpful.

Course Cost:

The course tuition fee is US $3,400, which includes all course materials and lunch on class days. Tuition payment (check or approved purchase order) is due at time of registration. Attendees are responsible for all other expenses, including transportation, meals, and lodging. Please note that course auditing and recording devices (audio or video) are not permitted.
