Hologic and Del Global Announce Licensing Agreement for Direct-to-Digital General Radiography Systems

BEDFORD, Mass. (February 5, 2004) - Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOLX) a leading provider of specialized medical imaging equipment for women's health, and VALHALLA, NY, - Del Global Technologies Corp. (DGTC), a leading provider of general radiography imaging systems, announced today a licensing agreement for the production of Direct-to-Digital General Radiography systems previously developed, manufactured, and marketed by Hologic. Under the terms of the agreement, Del Global's Medical Systems Division will manufacture digital radiography systems based upon technology provided by Hologic. Hologic will license to Del the use of this technology, in addition to the use of the EPEXT, EPEX ERT, DR1000CT, OMNIFLEXT, and RADEXT trademarks. Hologic will support Del in the transfer of manufacturing from Hologic's Bedford, MA facility to Del's facility in Chicago, IL, and provide ongoing service support functions in collaboration with Del. Del will utilize Hologic's DirectRayT detector in the integrated systems.
