BEDFORD, Mass. (April 30, 2008) - Hologic, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOLX), a diversified medical technologies company specializing in imaging systems, diagnostics, and interventional devices dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of women, today announced that they have received an order for 17 Selenia™ digital mammography mobile systems, the first order placed under The Netherlands Breast Cancer Screening Tender. The order was placed by the Dutch screening organizations BoBWest and SBBZWN, located in the southwestern part of the country. The company will start installing the systems this Summer.

More than 50 additional digital mammography systems will be installed under the tender over a four year period. Hologic and its dealer in the Netherlands, Tromp Medical, already have 60 Selenia digital mammography systems sold in The Netherlands – over 75% of the installed base.
