Cervista HTA system

The Cervista high throughput automation (HTA) system offers labs next-generation innovation in human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing. Promising highly accurate and reliable results in cervical cancer screening, the system automates the DNA extraction and HPV detection steps of the Cervista HPV HR test.



HPV testing with the Cervista HTA system allows for fully automated testing. Technicians can process the test and walk away, returning later for accurate results.

Cervista HTA offers continuous, automated batch processing with:

  • Enhanced chain-of-custody tracking, flexible throughput and automated data analysis for the Cervista HPV HR test.
  • Full walk-away automation with minimal user setup.
  • Scalable solution for batch sizes of 24, 48, 96, 192 or 288 patient samples.
  • Ability to upload electronic sample plate maps to ensure chain of custody.

 Also includes flexible input batch sizes:

  • Total test time for 96 samples: 8 hours, 30 minutes; operator free to walk away after 2 hours, 50 minutes.
  • Total test time for 192 samples: 12 hours, 15 minutes; operator free to walk away after 6 hours, 35 minutes.
  • Efficient sample plate pipelining allows for up to 288 samples per day with minimal deck configuration time.
  • Results stored electronically, allowing for overnight operation.
