Smartlipo Laser Lipolysis
Smartlipo Triplex is the market standard in laser-assisted lipolysis, offering three unique wavelengths: 1064 nm, 1320 nm and 1440 nm. These wavelengths can be used in single or blended mode using Smartlipo MultiPlex™ technology, alongside SmartSense™ and ThermaGuide™ safety features, to effectively treat unwanted fat.
By customizing the wavelengths based on the treatment and patient type, Smartlipo Triplex offers:
- Tissue tightening through soft tissue coagulation.
- Reliable, controlled energy delivery.
- Reduced patient downtime compared to traditional liposuction.1
- Less bleeding and bruising than traditional liposuction.
- High-definition body sculpting capabilities.
How it works
Smartlipo is a one-time, minimally invasive body contouring procedure performed in a physician’s office under local anesthesia. Three wavelengths provide a targeted treatment to troublesome spots like the abdomen, arms, buttocks and thighs to disrupt fat and stimulate collagen, which helps to tighten skin and improve elasticity by 57%.1 The Smartlipo laser fiber is inserted through a very small tube into the patient’s body, and the laser ruptures the fat cell membranes so they are permanently destroyed. The liquefied fat is then gently suctioned out.
The procedure typically lasts 1-2 hours depending on the number of areas being treated and the size of the areas. After the procedure, patients may experience some light bruising and swelling. Patients will be required to wear a compression garment for about a week to help with the healing process and support the areas treated; however, normal activities can resume within a day or two.
Smartlipo Triplex delivers precision and versatility with wavelengths that are ideal for smaller and larger fat deposits, tissue retraction, fibrous areas or secondary liposuction cases. Treatment areas include the abdomen, arms, legs, buttocks and for smaller areas, our smaller PrecisionTx™ fiber can be used to treat the lower face and neck.
Safety and efficacy
With over 10 years of clinical evidence, Smartlipo has more than 45 clinical studies and is used worldwide. Smartlipo is an intelligent delivery system that includes SmartSense™ and ThermaGuide™, two built-in safety features that help physicians treat to their clinical endpoints and prevent over-treatment.
SmartSense measures the handpiece speed, so that when the operator stops fiber movement, the accelerometer will turn the laser off to avoid over-treatment. ThermaGuide measures the temperature at the point of treatment for better accuracy than surface temperature measurements. The operator will receive a notification when the treatment limit is reached, based on the energy delivered. With these integrated temperatures and motion-sensing features, Smartlipo provides real-time clinical feedback to help the physician provide a safe and effective treatment with optimal patient outcomes.
