In 2016, Hologic set an ambitious goal of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions¹ by 10% by 2021.

We are committed to promoting energy-efficient practices to reduce our environmental footprint and operating costs as our business grows.

What We’ve Accomplished

To date, Hologic has achieved significant progress in our offices around the globe as a result of innovative solutions and operational efficiencies.

• Our Danbury, Connecticut facility has been recognized by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for its commitment to reducing energy consumption and air pollution. We received a Summer Saver Bronze Award, which is given to organizations that reduce electricity consumption and demand by 5% to 10% during the summer months.
• Our U.S. and Costa Rica locations have implemented retrofitted LED lighting and updated compressors and HVAC systems to reduce energy expenditure in our facilities.

Our Work Isn’t Finished

We will continue to reach positive benchmarks in our five-year greenhouse gas reduction goal by investing more in innovative solutions. We plan to focus our efforts on intelligent product innovation, building a culture of conservation and continually improving our operational efficiencies.

We will foster collaboration across our corporate, R&D and supply chain organizations to establish a world-class energy management program that will drive energy reduction throughout Hologic. We are committed to reporting our progress diligently and regularly across all of these initiatives.
