SmartCurve® Breast Stabilization System

    Transform the Mammography Patient Experience

Introducing the SmartCurve Breast Stabilization System
The SmartCurve system is available standard on Hologic’s new 3Dimensions™ mammography system and as an enhancement option to existing Hologic Selenia® Dimensions® systems.

Clinically proven to deliver a more comfortable mammogram compared to standard compression.7

With pain being the number one complaint during mammograms,8 this fear of pain prevents many women from making regular breast imaging appointments a priority. Not only can this have a negative impact on patient volume and satisfaction scores, but it can put women at risk of a cancer being missed, or diagnosed at a more advanced stage.

With improved comfort,7 the SmartCurve system was designed to address this challenge and provide a better patient experience for women during their mammograms.

    93% of patients

who reported moderate to severe discomfort with standard compression technology are shown to have improved comfort.7

    80% of women

who delayed their mammogram due to discomfort are less likely to delay future mammograms.9

    97% of patients

surveyed would recommend facilities that use a SmartCurve™ system.9

Patients and clinicians talk about the SmartCurve system difference.

    A Better Experience Without Compromise

    Unique Design

Curved, unique design mirrors the shape of a woman’s breast to reduce pinching and apply uniform compression over the entire breast.

    Processing Software

Processing software is designed to take the geometry of the curved surface into account, so the resulting images have the same appearance as images taken using standard compression.7

Can be used with the MammoPad® breast cushion for added comfort.

No change in positioning technique or workflow for technologists.
