Johnson Lai is Chief Information Officer, leading Hologic’s global technology strategy with a focus on digital transformation and systems modernization.
Johnson brings more than two decades of progressive IT leadership experience in information technology, digital product innovation and transformation across healthcare, life sciences and medical technology. He is a highly seasoned, private-equity-backed CIO, repeatedly trusted to lead complex technology solutions in a dynamic business environment, all directly relevant to Hologic’s current transformation.
He has led more than 40 successful acquisitions and integrations, an IPO, and multiple large-scale digital transformations across life sciences, medtech, industrial and global manufacturing businesses.
Most recently, Johnson was CIO at Kito Crosby (a KKR company). Prior to that he served as a corporate board member for several medical device and healthcare companies, providing strategic guidance on digital transformation, cybersecurity, risk management, business contingency planning, IT integration, M&A and other topics.
Earlier in his career, John held senior IT and transformation roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific/Life Technologies, Abbott, GiftCompass and AT&T. He holds an MBA in accounting, finance, and MIS and a BS in managerial economics, both from the University of California, Davis, as well as a supply chain strategy and management certificate from MIT.
